TERMS & CONDITIONS
Clear booking terms for private safari planning across East Africa
These terms explain how Enkishomi handles enquiries, bookings, payments, itinerary changes, supplier services, and guest responsibilities. They are designed to keep expectations clear before travel and to support a smoother planning process for both sides.
If anything in the trip proposal needs clarification, we would rather settle it early than leave it unclear until final confirmation.
What this page covers
Useful context before you move into the full page.
- When a safari becomes confirmed and what information we need from you.
- How deposits, balances, and price adjustments are handled.
- What happens if dates, routes, or suppliers need to shift.
KEY POINTS
How these terms are usually applied
These points sit behind most private safari bookings and help keep expectations aligned from the first proposal onward.
Private safari planning
Most journeys are built to brief, so confirmation depends on real-time availability.
Ground suppliers
Lodges, guides, airlines, and activities remain subject to their own operating terms.
Traveller duties
Guests remain responsible for passports, visas, insurance, and medical readiness.
Booking, payments, and changes
A booking is treated as confirmed once the itinerary has been accepted in writing and the required deposit has been received. Quoted prices are based on availability, season, supplier conditions, and route structure at the time of issue.
If you request changes after confirmation, we will always try to help, but revised rates, amendment fees, and supplier rules may apply. Unused services during travel are generally non-refundable unless the supplier grants an exception.
Important traveller responsibilities
- Check passport validity, visas, and transit rules before departure.
- Carry suitable travel insurance for cancellation, medical care, and evacuation where relevant.
- Disclose mobility, dietary, or medical conditions that could affect route or accommodation choice.
- Follow luggage limits and wildlife safety instructions throughout the trip.
Liability, complaints, and legal scope
Enkishomi coordinates services delivered by third-party suppliers including camps, hotels, airlines, transfer providers, guides, and activity operators. While we take care in selection and coordination, service delivery remains subject to the supplier responsible for that part of the trip.
We are not liable for disruption caused by events beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, political events, border restrictions, mechanical problems, or airline schedule changes. If an issue arises during travel, the guest should notify both the local supplier and our team as soon as practical so we have a fair chance to assist while the trip is still in motion.
Operational reality
- Routes in East Africa can be affected by weather, wildlife movement, aviation changes, and supplier maintenance.
- When changes are necessary, we aim for the nearest practical alternative rather than leaving arrangements unresolved.
